Sally Vantassel has worked for Barrett New York North for 18 years.
She has always been the type of person that will give you the shirt off her back if she felt you needed it. On top of looking out for the best interest of our company, she is always looking out for the best interest of others – mostly children and the elderly.
Sally volunteers at her local church doing missionary work. She has always put the needs of others ahead of her own.
Sally continuously gives to local shelters and backpack programs in our area as she worries that they will not have enough food to survive. When she hears of a family that has come upon hard times, such as a fire, she will make sure that they have the necessities to get through the first few days such as bathroom supplies and water.
During the winter months, Sally provides a meal once a month to the senior center called Milltown Elderly Housing in Evans, NY which gets them out into the common area to have a conversation while having their meal together.
Last year, Sally (at her own time and expense) put together 23 Easter baskets and delivered them to seniors that she knows live alone (shut-ins) and do not get many visitors.
We would like to recognize Sally for being kind and giving back so much of herself financially, physically, and selflessly!
