Tim McNally has always enjoyed building things.

In his mid-twenties, Tim became interested in woodworking particularly furniture and cabinetry. He was lucky to have a friend/mentor who is a professional woodworker and occasionally let him use the shop.

Over the years, Tim put together his own shop and built a house full of furniture and cabinets. As you can see from the photographs, Tim’s favorite styles are Early American and Shaker. If it’s not painted, the wood of choice is cherry as it has a warm, rich look about it and takes on a dark patina with age. Cherry is relatively easy to work with as it sands smoothly and takes finish easily. Tim typically spends his winters in the shop working on different projects and in the summer he enjoys golf.

Everyone needs a hobby!
