In 2018, The Midwest region formed their Divisional Safety Steering Team (DSST).
This group of talented individuals is responsible for assisting in driving the Goal Zero initiative and helping the company in paving the road to Safety Excellence. Within their first year as a team, they helped guide and support the Midwest Divisional Continuous Improvement Team 1: Take 5.
MW DCIT: STOP, Take 5 initiative provides an avenue for all employees to have the ability to stop work and, as a group, re-evaluate the situation when a change in conditions or operations occurs. Taking time to evaluate and update the job’s daily plan will reduce injuries, equipment damage and increase overall productivity.

Diane Dawson (MOH), Tara Jackson (MWC), William McGathey (MOH), Courtney Duggins (MWC), Roger Heider (MWC), Josh Powell (MOH), Nick Bozarth (MWC)
This year expect to hear from the DSST or see them at your plant or job site engaging with one another, sharing success stories and experiences connected with our previous CI process Pre-Shift Daily Huddles, One-on-One Safety Conversations, Close Calls, and Take 5.
